Hattie Henderson, M.D.

Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician

Fellowship-Trained Geriatrician

Throughout my career in medicine, I have had the opportunity to experience many clinical settings, from pediatric, family medicine and occupational medicine clinics to long-term care, hospice and palliative care. These experiences have shaped my approach to care as a geriatrician and family medicine physician at Legacy, where I work with my patients to understand their unique health care needs and take into consideration biological, psychological and social factors that may be affecting their health.

I encourage my patients to take an active role in their health care and work with them toward preventive care and disease management. This often involves educating my patients on the potential positive and negative outcomes of their health choices and allowing them to lead the way by utilizing the services available, whether here at Legacy or in their community.

Caring for seniors is one of my greatest passions as a physician. I love hearing their stories, discussing their health goals, and working with them to ensure they are living life to the fullest.
